Fair enough. I can do all of that manually as well, and also I have an irrational distrust of script compilers that they might decide to arbitrarily insert in the wrong place, or overwrite important data without warning, whereas when i do it by hand, I know what I'm doing. Does it support automatically repointing if your new script is larger than the old one?
As for to do the map card, sure you can do it anyway you want. Just make another event turn on the same thing the old man does to give you the card. It would be in bit table 2. You could make elm do it, you could make some other random person do it, etc. Just be creative.

thats the thing, i don't know how to actually make somebody give it you, i wanted somebody to be blocking the path, and when you go to talk to him he says " sorry you can't pass yet, there is maintenance in place " so you have to go back into this house and talk to a man/woman who would say " oh here take this, this will help you get past those pesky guards " and obviously you get map card, could you help me input this into my game ?

I could help you do it manually, using a hex editor and the compendium. I don't know what the commands are called in pksv to know what to tell you.

i wouldnt mind if you did it in hex or PKSV-UI, if you do it in hex and give me the offset i can look at it in PKSV to learn.
If i set up the map and people could you work on the script for me please if i give you the rom ?
